On January 1, 2021, CERC was established as a new research center based at the SLF in Davos. It is funded by the Canton of Grisons and the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL. In the Canton Grison’s Innovation Strategy 2028, CERC is defined as one of two lighthouse projects that position Grisons as a prominent research location in the longer term. ETH Zurich strengthens CERC with two joint professorships.
